Large flowers in cool conditions. Fragrance: Mild Tea

Dusky deep purple buds swirl open to very double old-fashioned flowers of velvet plum washed with a haze of sultry smoke. The intense clove fragrance can nearly bowl you over. But keep your balance or you'll find yourself face down amongst the deep green leaves. Gets all the better with establishment in the garden. Fragrance: Strong spicy clove

Floribunda. Burgundy-red swirled with creamy white.
You might think stripes are a new-fangled thing. But it is the old rose heritage that brings the genetic stripping to this spicy scented new-comer. Each petal is as unique as a snowflake--some more burgundy-splashed-white, some creamed-swirled-red-all on the same vigorous plant. The old-fashioned form & fragrance may remind you of its stingy blooming ancestors. Yet the nearly continuous number of blossoms lets you know there's modern kinfolk in there, too. Distinctive clean quilted foliage. Best color & size in moderate temps. Perfect for potpourri. Fragrance: Strong sweet spice

Hybrid Tea. Yellow-gold shaded green
Some like it hot…and this is one! The luck of the Irish may have finally brought a super slow-opening yellow rose that likes the heat. This saintly yellow can pick up a touch of gold in cool weather, but he’ll be wearin’ the green when the temps turn up. Loads of novel chartreuse-shaded buds spiral open to yellow-gold flowers of amazing stamina. Grey-green foliage completes the picture. Heat brings out the novel color and best form. Slow-opening. Fragrance: Slight
Climber. Multi-color Yellow & Peach Blushing Pinky Red
Yes, we’re making a verbal pun on the beloved Joseph’s Coat, one of the most popular of all Climbers. Pun aside, for many years we’ve sought to capture the same great colors on a much improved plant. The blushing yellows, pinks & reds of Jacob’s Robe aren’t an exact match. But the multi-color effect is even more dramatic. It’s equally floriferous, re-blooming readily in the very first year. But the plant shows off the big difference – more natural vigor, lusher glossy deep green leaves, better disease resistance & more hardinesst. Fragrance: Moderate spice
